Ascofix - Glue and Fix - Aquaplan

A tile adhesive , professional , elastic and waterproof, which has great adhesive power that allows tiling all horizontal and vertical surfaces.
Thanks to its elasticity and its high resistance to humidity , the adhesive is also ideal in kitchens , bathrooms and showers.

Application :

For bonding tiles, mosaics, ceramics, earthenware and brick slips on all substrates, indoors and outdoors as well as in damp rooms.
Also glue tile to tile.

Useful information:

• Store in a cool place (max. +20°C) and protected from frost.
• Do not apply when the ambient temperature and the temperature of the substrate are below +5°C and above +40°C.
• Always follow the general professional installation instructions applicable to the material to be bonded.
• After 4 days, it is possible to grout the tiles and walk on them.
  If the installation was carried out tile on tile, a waiting time of at least 7 days must be taken into account.
• In the case of vertical applications, respect a waiting time of 4 days.
• In the case of outdoor applications (terraces, etc.), it must be ensured that the tiled surface which has been glued and not yet grouted can dry freely in the open air and is absolutely protected against all precipitation.
  If it threatens to rain, everything must be temporarily covered.
  During this period, the drying process is interrupted, so that commissioning will be correspondingly delayed.
  Make sure that water does not come into contact with the glue during the essential drying process.
• For the vertical gluing of the tiles, spacers should be used, to be placed between the different tiles.

Manual :

1. Dust and degrease the support first.
   Make sure there are no loose parts.
2. Do not wet the substrate and the material to be bonded, unless the substrate is very porous.
3. First ensure a waterproof support in damp locations.
   Use for this effect Sanit-Étanche which can be applied simply by means of a brush or a roller.
4. Apply ASCOFIX - Colle & Fixe to the entire substrate with a glue comb of max. 3 mm for a consumption of 1.5 kg/m² or apply the bonding places with a ø of 4 cm at each corner and in the center of the tile.
   Take into account about 40 places per m².
5. Compress the material to be bonded if using a glue comb with a slight twisting motion in the fresh glue.
6. Place the tiles and compress them strongly.
7. Correct if necessary within 30 minutes.
   This delay depends on the absorbency of the support.
8. Only grout the tiles after 4 days.
   Wait 7 days if tiles are glued tile to tile.
   For their use, the waiting time must also be respected.
9. For exterior applications, ensure that the glue can dry easily and cover the surface in case of rain.
   If the drying process is interrupted, the commissioning will be delayed accordingly.
