Sika Reactivation Primer is a single-component polyurethane primer , used for the reactivation of existing systems for roofs and sealing systems for balconies , during their recovery.

Features

  • Mono-component, easy and ready to use
  • Improves adhesion over existing Sikalastic and Sikafloor systems
  • Allows safe application of subsequent coats when normal overcoating time is exceeded
  • Suitable for use over a range of existing polyurethane roofing liquid waterproofing systems (subject to satisfactory preliminary adhesion testing)

Application areas

Primer to be used when covering the following existing systems:

  • SikaRoof MTC Systems
  • Sikalastic Roofing Systems
  • Sikafloor balcony waterproofing systems

Application

  1. All surfaces to be coated should be thoroughly cleaned by conventional means.
  2. Surfaces contaminated by mould, moss or algae must, after cleaning, be treated with a defoamer and anti-algae product.
  3. Rinse well and allow to dry before applying the coating system.
  4. If in doubt, apply a test area first.
  5. Sika Reactivation Primer can be applied by short nap roller or brush.
  6. Allow Sika Reactivation Primer to dry sufficiently before recoating.

Consumption

Apply a single coat at a rate of 0.1 kg/m2
