Rooffix Activator - Activation varnish for bonding self-adhesive membranes - Aquaplan

Ready-to-use black activation varnish that considerably improves the adhesion of self-adhesive bituminous roofing membranes.

By using ROOFFIX Activator , the adhesion power of self-adhesive bituminous membranes is activated with an exceptional bonding result, even in difficult circumstances.

The ROOFFIX Activator is to be applied on one side in a very simple way.
Then remove the protective sheet from the self-adhesive bituminous membrane and apply it to the treated substrate.

Application :

For use on concrete, wood, old bituminous roofs, PIR insulation panels fitted with a mineralized glass veil and self-adhesive bituminous undercoat before applying a self-adhesive vapor barrier or a self-adhesive finishing membrane.

Useful information:

• Store in closed packaging in a ventilated, dry and cool place (max 20°C).
• The application and product temperature must be between 5°C and 30°C.
• Use Rooffi x Activator Spray for upstands and around roof details.
  For larger, horizontal surfaces, we recommend Rooffi x Activator 5L.
• The product can be slightly mixed before use.
• To be used only for self-adhesive bituminous membranes.
  Not to be used for membranes intended to be burned with a torch or glued with cold glue.

Manual :

1. The surface must be free of dust and grease.
2. Apply a thin layer of varnish on the support.
   Make sure to spread the product evenly.
   You need approx. 0.20 L per m² per coat.
3. Wait 5 to 10 minutes (at 10°) to allow the solvents to evaporate.
4. Then apply the Aquaplan self-adhesive membrane to the prepared substrate.
   Do not forget to remove the protective sheet from the membrane and to compress well.

Conditioning :

• 750 ml spray / 5 L container.
• Black color.
