Sikascreed hardtop-60 - Floor levelling mortar - Sika

SikaScreed HardTop-60 is a slightly plastic, polymer-modified, fast- setting floor leveling mortar that can be stressed and overcoated quickly.

It can be applied in layer thicknesses from 8 mm and hardens almost without shrinkage. It also has particularly high resistance to abrasion and compression.

Features

SikaScreed HardTop-60 is distinguished by unique combinations of properties:

  • Ready-to-use mortar, slightly plastic in consistency, easy to apply and non-sticky, can also be used as a monolithic or sloping floor.
  • Hardening almost without shrinkage, allowing equalization at variable thicknesses.
  • Rapid hardening for direct return to service (compressive strength > 35 N/mm² after 24 hours at +20°C)
  • Very high final strength
  • Long open time for smoothing (> 60 min.) to achieve perfectly smooth surfaces
  • Resists high dynamic loads
  • Overcoatable with Sikafloor-161 within 4 hours after the end of smoothing (at +20°C) without additional surface preparation
  • Mineral base, non-toxic and safe for the environment

Application domain

Due to its rapid drying, virtually shrink-free curing and high resistance to abrasion and compression, SikaScreed HardTop-60 is particularly suitable for the following applications:

  • Repairs of small and large areas of industrial concrete floors subject to heavy stress, with the possibility of returning to service from 24 hours after application
  • Quickly recoverable leveling mortar for Sikafloor floor coverings based on synthetic resins

Application

  1. Thoroughly penetrate the freshly mixed SikaScreed-20 BB bonding bridge into the concrete support using a hard broom, or spread it using a rubber squeegee, then roll it over.
  2. Mix the SikaScreed HardTop-60 using an electric mixer, then apply fresh to fresh to the SikaScreed-20 EBB adhesion deck and level using screeds and an aluminum straightedge.
  3. To achieve a denser/stronger surface, SikaScreed HardTop-60 must be smoothed using suitable trowels or smoothers by manual means.
  4. Do not use double helicopters with heavy weight or seat models, but only light helicopters with a large diameter disc that are pushed.
  5. It is absolutely forbidden to spray water to treat/finish the surface.
    This reduces the surface resistance.
  6. Compulsory cure treatment! The curing treatment will be carried out immediately after the last smoothing by installing a PE sheet or by applying Sikafloor-161.
  7. In drafty areas, on free surfaces, at temperatures between +10°C and +15°C and in the presence of very dry climatic conditions, the freshly applied mortar must be covered with PE foil, immediately after its installation (before smoothing).
  8. The cure treatment using a PE sheet must be continued for at least one night (18 hours).
  9. In the event of temperatures between +10°C and +15°C (support and air), the mortar must be covered with a sheet for at least 48 hours, to avoid too rapid drying of the mortar which will lead to disturbances. hardening.
  10. In a summer climate, SikaScreed HardTop-60 mortar should not be applied under the direct influence of the sun's rays.
  11. If temperatures above +25°C are expected, the start of implementation should be started later in the day, after reaching the maximum temperature.
  12. The support, dry mortar (bags) and mixing water must be kept cool.
