Knauf Egalmax is a self-leveling floor leveling compound.
Ready-to-use, single- component dry mortar , based on modified hydraulic binders , specific additives and reinforced with fibres .

Application domain :

Knauf EgalMAX is used indoors as an adherent finish coat.
It is suitable for leveling, in a thin layer, uneven floors such as cement screeds, concrete slabs, wooden supports and old tiles before applying a finish.

The Knauf Egalmax constitutes an ideal support facilitating the installation of a floor covering such as linoleum, textile, ceramic or natural stone coverings, laminate parquet floors, etc. in private or public buildings such as schools, hospitals, airports,…

Remarks :

• Knauf Egalmax should never be mixed with other products;
• The technical data regarding maturation time, implementation time, practicability, final loading and resistance times apply for temperatures of 20°C and relative air humidity of 50%. ;
• The freshly applied leveling layer must be protected from too rapid drying (heat, draft) for min. the first 6 hours;
• High ambient temperatures or heated substrates shorten the processing time and vice versa for low temperatures;
• Do not mix with water once the product has hardened;
• Clean tools, containers, etc. immediately with water.
  In the solid state, only mechanical cleaning is possible;
• Pedestrian traffic possible after 2 to 4 hours depending on application conditions;
• Application of waterproof and/or moisture-sensitive coating possible after min. 2 days (at 20°C and 50% relative humidity) depending on the type of floor covering and the application conditions;
• Tiling possible after a drying time of min. 4 hours per 10 mm thickness under normal drying conditions (20°C and 50% humidity);
• Characterized by high impact resistance and low shrinkage.
