Procolle cap mousse RF1 - Polyurethane foam - Zep Industries

Fire-resistant polyurethane foam in aerosol for various applications:

  • Insulation and caulking of fire-resistant joinery
  • Caulking between fire-rated elements
  • Insulation and caulking between false ceilings
  • Fire-rated walls and ceilings
  • Blocking pipe passages in fire walls
  • Thermal and acoustic insulation.

Properties :

  • Fire resistance from 45 to 80 min depending on the size and depth of foam (tested according to the NEN 6069 standard).
  • Fire rated according to DIN 4102/2 B2.
  • Excellent adhesion to many supports (except PE, Teflon and silicones).
  • Tight against hot and smoked gases. Very fast hardening.
  • Excellent thermal insulation coefficient.
  • Self expanding. 70% closed cells.
    Cuts easily.
  • One liter of free expanding foam can produce 30 to 45 liters of cured foam.

Manual :

  1. Surfaces must be degreased, clean, dry and free of friable parts before application.
  2. Shake the aerosol well before use.
  3. Screw the extension fully onto the valve.
  4. Project the foam while keeping the aerosol upside down. Do not fill the cavities more than 50%, the foam expands 2 to 3 times its initial volume as it dries.
  5. Slight humidification of the support will facilitate expansion and improve the cellular structure of the foam.
  6. Apply in small layers of 4 cm thickness max. (let it harden before applying the next one).
  7. Can be worked after 1 hour.
  8. Cover the foam with a coating or paint because its UV resistance is low.
  9. Do not use in a tightly closed area, which will prevent the foam from drying.
  10. Use between 5 and 35°C. Preferably, empty the aerosol in one go.
  11. Once polymerized, the foam can only be removed mechanically.

Conditioning :

0.75 L - Aerosol.
