InsulWood - Acoustic underlay for wood flooring - Insulco

InsulWood is a thin acoustic insulation for new constructions and renovations in wooden structure .

This underlay fights impact and airborne noise between floors.

The insulWood offers various possibilities of implementation, some of which make it possible to meet the acoustic standards in force even for the insulation between apartments on light structures .

With a light structure, it is very difficult to meet the current acoustic standard (NBN S01-400-1).

However, the same requirements must be respected in wooden constructions as in constructions with a concrete structure.

The latter have the advantage of benefiting from a much larger mass which contributes to improving acoustic insulation.

Composition :

InsulWood consists of a high density polyethylene film laminated to a polyolefin acoustic foam with a closed cell structure and physically reticulated, assembled on an acoustic resilient felt.

The overlap seal provides airtightness , which helps to reduce airborne noise.

Applications:

Light wooden structure:

InsulWood can be placed on an existing wooden floor or on a new OSB floor.

Light dry screed:

InsulWood can be placed under a dry screed (rigid floating panels) to be able for example to glue a tile.

Floor with false ceiling:

A layer of fibrous insulation between the lodgings improves thermal and acoustic comfort.

Features :

• Materials: PE-HD film, Acoustic polyolefin, Acoustic polyester felt.
• Thickness: ≥7 mm (under 500 Pa).
• Colours: Black (PE-HD film) / Gray (foam) / Black (felt).
• Dynamic stiffness: s't = 5 MN/m³ (EN 29052-1).
• Mechanical resistance: 425 / 630 kPa.
• Compression: ±15% under 2 kPa (10% tolerance).
• Elongation: 140%.
• Roll: 20m x 1m.
• Weight: ±650gsm.
• Covering: Thin self-adhesive flap (±5 cm).

Attention :

• For logistical reasons: orders that are too small or too light may be declined. In general, the minimum order is 20m², but we are still listening.
• All orders with problematic or too weak logistics can be picked up directly by the customer. :-)
