How to protect your wall against rising tides with MUR-INJECTION?
1. How to prepare the substrate?
- Remove baseboards, ceiling and wallpaper.
- Inspect seals and, if necessary, repair to prevent product leaks.
- In a horizontal joint 5 to 7 cm from the floor slab (the thickness of the plinth :-) )
- --> Drill injection holes 10 mm in diameter, spaced 12 cm apart, at an inclination of 10 to 15 degrees.
- --> Drill to a depth of 4/5 of the thickness of the wall.
- For walls thicker than 40 cm, repeat this operation on the other side of the wall.
2. How to use the product?
- Attach the obliquely cut hose to the injection tube via the nozzles
- Place the tubes 50 cm above each drilled hole. NOTE: it is easy to fix the reservoir tubes to a wooden board and keep it 50 cm away (by fixing it to the wall, on wedges, chairs, etc.)
- Push the other end of the flexible pipe to a depth of approximately 2 to 3 cm in the corresponding drilled hole.
- CAUTION: Never place the injection tubes directly into the drilled hole as the distance is necessary for effective penetration of the liquid into the wall.
- Plug the drilled holes by applying quick-setting cement (or putty around the flexible pipe), in order to prevent the product from flowing back.
- If necessary, roughen the flexible pipe by sanding it a little to improve the adhesion of the cement/mastic.
- Fill the injection reservoir tubes and keep them level for 1 hour.
- CAUTION: Thoroughly clean the surfaces in case of splashing and overflow.
- Repeat the treatment after 24 hours.
- 48 hours later the injection is complete.
- Remove the tubes and plug the holes.
