Floetrol - Waterborne paint conditioner - Owatrol

Floetrol is an additive in aqueous phase which improves the gliding and taut properties of acrylic and emulsion paints during difficult climatic conditions ( high heat , drafts , etc.).
Floetrol also facilitates and improves spray application while slowing down the wear of certain parts (nozzles, etc.).

Properties :

• Avoids traces of recovery, facilitates gliding, allows a better tautness.
• Delays the setting of paints and reduces the so-called ''stringing'' or ''pommelage'' appearance. Ideal for decorative work.
• Allows you to repaint a ceiling effortlessly for an optimal result.
• Indispensable when applying with a spray gun because:
  • offers greater flexibility of use,
  • limits the accumulation of paint in the spray gun,
  • reduces pressure by up to 20%,
  • lubricates the nozzles and reduces their wear,
  • reduces 'fog' and avoids irregular projections.
• On average, and depending on the support and the method of application used, a paint added with 10% of Floetrol makes it possible to cover 20% of additional surface.

Substrate preparation:

Mixed with the paint, Floetrol is applied on a dry, clean, sound and prepared support (degreased, sanded...) whose use, nature, quality, treatments and preparation comply with the standards and DTU in force. and the instructions on the can of paint with which Floetrol will be mixed.
Recognition and preparation of the support are the responsibility of the applicator.

Application :

Proportions of Floetrol to add to the paint in the first coat according to the mode of application:

• Brush or roller: add 7 to 15% of Floetrol per liter of paint.
• Air gun or compressed air: add 5 to 10% of Floetrol per liter of paint to obtain the required consistency. If the paint thickens, add a spoonful of water per liter of paint.
• Airless spray gun: add 10% Floetrol per liter of paint.
• Decorative effects: add 20 to 25% of Floetrol per liter of paint.

Apply the mixture according to the recommendations and prescriptions defined by the manufacturer of the paint used.
