Gelcoat reparatieset - Practical repair kit - Vosschemie Soloplast

Practical 2-component kit with gelcoat resin hardener.
Useful to any boat owner for unexpected gelcoat repairs.

Applications:

• As a repair material to repair damaged polyester gelcoat.
• Available in color: RAL 9010 - White and colorless.
• The colorless (transparent) version can be colored with polyester pigments (5-10%).

Treatment :

1. The surface should always be made dry, rough and free of dust, rust and grease.
2. Mix 1-3% mekp hardener into the resin.
3. Pot condition: about 15 min at 20°C.
4. Apply it with a brush or spatula on the surface to be repaired.
5. Then cover with a sheet of hostaphane to obtain a smooth and non-sticky surface.
6. After about 60 minutes, remove the hostaphan leaf.
   Sanding can be done after 2-3 hours.
7. Begin sanding with 220-600 grit, then 1200-2000 grit and finally buff with YC High Gloss finish.

Note : All polyesters can be slowed down with an inhibitor.

Tip : mix well and slowly to avoid any formation of air bubbles.

Security :

• Always wear appropriate protective clothing and gloves.
• Avoid prolonged contact with skin.
• Tool cleaner: M cleaner (ecological substitute for acetone.)
• This product contains styrene and should therefore be handled in accordance with safety rules.

Conditioning :

• 200g.
